Using CBD Oil as Part of Your Self-Care Routine

November 30, 2020 (Investorideas.com Newswire) Essential oils have been around for a very long time. There are plenty of ways of using essential oils because of numerous benefits. Did you know that essential oils have been used for cosmetic purposes, spiritual ceremonies, and emotional benefits? Essential oils aren't a newfound fad. In fact, it's an ancient method of healing and a way of bringing total wellness in both body and mind.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are no conventional oils. In fact, essential oils go through a stringent extraction process and what you get as a final product is pure distilled oil. Essential oils go through several steps to form its pure oil content. First, it goes through steam distillation, and after this, the oil is cold-pressed to ensure the purest of oils is extracted from its botanical sources. These oils are stored in amber bottles to retain their purity and prevent oxidation. What you get in your hand is a pure botanical extract.

The botanical sources of essential oils are from fruits, seeds, barks, stems, flowers, roots, and leaves of selected aromatic plants. There are about 10,000 aromatic plants that can be processed to extract essential oils. However, only 500 of these plants are used for commercial oil extraction.

What about CBD oil?

Cannabidiol is one of the several compounds of the hemp plant, and in more recent times, people have been adding CBD oil such as Private Label CBD Skin Care as part of their skincare or essential oil routine to bring a sense of balance, calm, and focus.

Like all other essential oils, it's important to dilute or emulsify CBD with a carrier oil before you can use it.

History of essential oils

The modern use of essential oils' versatility is nothing new. They were used almost 5,000 years ago as healing agents in ancient practices. Some of the earliest records of essential oils' use were from Egypt.

Among the great contributions of Egypt to modern society, especially in the realm of healing and medication, is the Ebers Papyrus, named after Georg Ebers, who purchased it in 1873. The Ebers Papyrus is one of the world's oldest and most important medical papers from Egypt, and it contains ancient herbal knowledge that dates back to 1,500 B.C.

Among the most famous of all Egyptian herbal recipes and use of aromatic botanicals would be the world's well-known mummification methods. Plants such as cinnamon, clove, and star anise were used together with resins such as myrrh and frankincense and efficiently combined to be used as embalmers. The earliest forms of cedar and juniper completed the final process of mummification.

In the New Testament, the Jews used essential oils, such as frankincense, hyssop, fir, and cedarwood, to heal wounds and strengthen spiritual communion. One of the most famous historical moments known worldwide on the use of essentials oils comes from the New Testament's historical description of the use of myrrh and frankincense as part of the gifts given during Jesus' birth.

How can you use CBD with your essential oils?

It's not recommended to mix essential oils with CBD oil on your own because you'll just end up decreasing the efficiency of the CBD oil. The best way forward is to use or purchase a CBD oil blend, which comes with flavors of essential oils. Keep in mind that you must always use a carrier oil with your blends.

You can use CBD oil blends with flavor essential oils in these ways:
