Gold prices hovered near record highs on Tuesday, supported by ongoing safe-haven demand as uncertainty surrounding the US trade policy persisted. After recently excluding smartphones and computers from new reciprocal tariffs, President Donald Trump indicated potential exemptions for auto parts.
