Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NasdaqGS:LULU) has announced two new sustainability-focussed initiatives: "Like New, the brand's first-ever recommerce program, and Earth Dye, a new, limited-edition collection made with earth-friendly dyes, both launching this May." The company's CEO, Calvin McDonald, explained:

"lululemon is actively working to help create a healthier future, and we are focused on meeting the goals detailed in our Impact Agenda, including making 100 percent of our products with sustainable materials and end-of-use solutions by 2030. Our lululemon Like New and Earth Dye initiatives are both meaningful steps towards a circular ecosystem and demonstrate the sustainable innovation underway in product development and retail."

Athleisure and footwear retailer Hibbett Sports, Inc. (NasdaqGS:HIBB) has announced the opening of its newest store in Jonesboro, GA. According to the press release, the store is 4,400 sq feet in the boutique-style, and "features an open-concept and easy navigation of newly released, exclusive and hard-to-find footwear, athletic apparel and equipment." The store's manager, Brittany Harris, said:

"I am excited that we are bringing our first Hibbett Sports to serve the great community of Jonesboro and even more customers will be able to experience our great vibe, fantastic presentation of trendy brands and excellent customer service."

Steelers Extend Coach Tomlin Another Three Years and Patrick Marleau Passes Gordie Howe's Record for Most Games Played

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed head coach Mike Tomlin to a three-year contract extension running through the 2024 season, according to a report from the Associated Press this morning. In his 14 years with the Steelers, Tomlin is 145-78-1, has brought the team to the playoffs nine times, and won one Super Bowl. Tomlin commented in a statement on the news:

"I am extremely grateful for this contract extension and want to thank Art Rooney II and everyone in the organization for the support in my first 14 seasons. We have a goal of winning the organization's seventh Super Bowl championship, and I couldn't be more enthusiastic about this upcoming season."

NHL.com reports that San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau has passed Gordie Howe for most NHL games played with 1,768, as of last night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Marleau's friend and former teammate Joe Thornton, who now plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs, is is second among active players, sixth in NHL history, and 99 games behind Marleau with 1,669 regular-season games. Thornton commented:

"Even with playing with Patty all those years, it's still amazing to think about what he's doing. It's one of those things that when you hear about the games played by Gordie Howe, you think it's one of those things that's untouchable. He was part of the League for so long. You wouldn't have dreamed of anybody touching that milestone. So when you're beating one of Mr. Hockey's records, it's impressive."
