February 8, 2021 (Investorideas.com Newswire) ONE Spirit, (http://nativeprogress.org) a Native American service organization founded to assist and support American Indians announces Ski for Fire, an expedition to remind us that the American experiment has left many Native peoples impoverished and cold.
Ty's journey will follow an ancient water route that was historically used by many of these Native peoples - including the Lakota and Dakota. Today, the land is still used by bands of the Ojibwe people where they hunt, fish, and gather wild rice.
The expedition follows an ancient water route used by Indigenous peoples including the ancestors of the Lakota and Dakota people.

The route, an east-to-west traverse of Voyageurs National Park and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, remains relatively untouched in winter. Extreme cold, dangerous ice, rapids, and strong winds have long challenged the winter traveller.

Ty will be traveling through extremely remote areas in extreme conditions (it's forecasted to be -31 degrees Fahrenheit when he leaves,) so this map will be the best way to follow his progress - with Ty posting photo updates when possible.
