Intel Corporation (NasdaqGS:INTC) has announced a strategic partnership with Montreal-based MILA (Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute), described in the press release as "the world's largest academic machine learning research institute," enabling them to develop and apply advances in artificial intelligence. A report published by Technavio finds that the global Artificial Intelligence market has potential to grow $76.44 billion from 2021-2025 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.6 percent in the forecast period. In terms of drivers in the market, the report notes that "Prevention of fraud and malicious attacks is one of the factors driving the growth of the market during the forecast period," but that "factors such as a shortage of AI experts may impede market growth."
