New keyword features added to artificial intelligence veterinary software in response to demand
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - October 10, 2018 (Investorideas.com Newswire) Vetology® Innovations, LLC, an advanced veterinary technology and innovation company, announced [day] the addition of a new keyword search functionality for its artificial intelligence (AI) radiology software, enhancing the abilities of this first-of-its-kind software.
Veterinary professionals already using Vetology AI will immediately be able to access the new keyword search functionality of the system, which scans over 5 million unique X-Ray images and 500,000 cases housed in Vetology's® database.
Using the new search function will allow veterinary professionals to comparatively evaluate new patient X-Rays in accordance with previously diagnosed cases from across the nation.
"Our goal has always been to leverage technology and patient data to improve the medical evaluation process for veterinarians. Keyword search is a feature that we've received many requests for and we're excited to begin rolling it out to our customers," said Dr. Seth Wallack, DACVR, founder of Vetology® Innovations. "Being able to quickly search our vast digital archive and compare radiologist evaluated images to those of a current patient will undoubtedly be a useful resource speeding up the patient evaluation process."
Vetology® has consistently rolled out new features for its first-of-its-kind AI-powered diagnostic software. Last month, Vetology made headlines by adding new 90 second automated heart evaluation tools, including heart size evaluation and Vertebral Heart Score calculation.
Both automated heart evaluation tools work within the Vetology® AI dashboard automatically when a clinic sends an X-Ray to the secure Vetology® cloud. There, the software automatically evaluates an animal's heart size and the comparative size of the heart in relation to the vertebral body size, creating a vertebral heart score. This process results in a Vetology® AI heart evaluation report being back into the veterinarian's hands as quickly as 90 seconds after the X-rays have fully uploaded.
"We're constantly looking at new ways to improve patient diagnostics and faster response times without sacrificing quality. . With the automated heart evaluation, veterinarians no longer have to calculate heart size by hand and ultimately have more time to tend to their patients or their day-to-day responsibilities. This was a home run for our customers and we think the new search functionality will have a similar effect," said Wallack. "We're not just reverse-engineering diagnostic solutions being used in human medicine, we're innovating new technologies not found elsewhere specifically for the veterinary industry."
Vetology® AI includes image storage, unlimited automated heart size evaluations and automated Vertebral Heart Score calculations. Additionally, sign up is simple and can be completed online at https://ai.Vetology.net/. This technology cost-effectively answers a rising unmet demand in the veterinary industry as more owner's request, and progressive veterinary hospitals deliver, the advancing level of veterinary care.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Diego, California, Vetology® provides innovative and emerging technology solutions for the veterinary community. The company serves over 2,000 veterinary hospitals worldwide and offers SAAS products that facilitate the highest quality of patient care and services.
