No whizz-bang invention, but plenty of ideas unveiled at CES

Wocket smart wallet
This is very different to most smart wallets. It consists of a small, rectangular device with a display and a generic, swipeable card that sits in it. You start by entering loyalty, credit and debit card details. At a store, you press a button to select the card you wish to pay by, and its details are transferred to the generic cards magnetic strip. You then take the card and swipe to pay. Wocket saves carrying a mountain of different cards. Importantly, details should be readable as its a standard card. In contrast, many retail terminals cannot read smartphone wallets that simply display barcodes on the phones screen. Wocket doesnt need an internet connection in the store and details are protected by biometric voice security. ( wocketwallet.com )

New smart wallet requires a biometric signature to make payments
A brand new electronic wallet that does not rely on internet connections or data transfer
With the rapid rise in mobile commerce and online shopping habits, the consumers are increasingly looking for easier, safer and more convenient ways to pay on the go. Last week, NXT-ID Inc introduced, what they called, the very first smart wallet – ‘Wocket.
The most revolutionary aspect of Wocket, however, is that it can only work with a users bio metric stamp of approval; in this case, their voice. The only way to conduct the payments is for the user to use the voice authorization, making it that much safer. For thieves, Wocket will be worthless as they will not be able to make payments without the owners bio metric signature and with the encrypted information and a ‘tamper-proof chip, the payment security might have reached new heights for consumers. Following the many efforts to curtail the fraud on the internet, the physical payment security options have fallen behind. Wocket might prove the revolutionary payment system as it cleverly combines ease of use, convenience and security to create a brand new way in which consumers make payments.

Technology is moving into payment systems in a lot of different ways. While systems like Google Wallet and Apple Pay are great, there are times when you need a physical card to swipe. Wocket, from NXT-ID, gives you that card, while keeping it secure, with a token good for only a single use.
