NEW ANALYSIS TO SHOW MOST SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE MUTUAL FUNDS OUTPERFORMED DURING THE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN IN 2009
WASHINGTON, D.C. - January 19, 2010 - The verdict on SRI mutual fund performance is in: A review of 160 socially responsible mutual funds from 22 Social Investment Forum (SIF) members will show that an overwhelming majority of the funds outperformed the benchmarks for their categories in calendar year 2009, including many by what were significant margins.
The details of the new SIF analysis will be unveiled during a live national phone-based news conference (including full two-way Q&A) at 11 am. EST on January 21, 2010. The Social Investment Forum is the national nonprofit membership association for the socially responsible investment (SRI) industry.
News event speakers will include:
