San Francisco, CA - December 13, 2017 (Investorideas.com Newswire) Mirror AI (Mirror,) a team of artificial intelligence and facial recognition experts developing the world's most personalized emoji, today released its Mirror Emoji Keyboard app. Mirror's beta Emoji Keyboard brings an entirely new level of personalization to texting, messaging and social media posting. Through advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and facial recognition technology, the Mirror Keyboard scans selfies for unique characteristics and creates personalized emoji for users and their friends. 90% of human communication is nonverbal, and facial expressions are the largest part of that. Mirror's mission is to seamlessly bring non-verbal communication and facial expressions into our digital lives.
"We are excited to launch the beta version of Mirror Emoji Keyboard - this is the culmination of a year's worth of work from our dedicated and experienced engineering team and is only the beginning." shared Serge Faguet, CEO & Co-Founder of Mirror. "As our user base grows, our technology will continue to improve, leading to even greater personalization as well as as automatic detection of clothing, pets and frequent companions in your camera roll."
Users simply download the app and take a selfie, then the Mirror Emoji Keyboard instantly generates hundreds of emoji based on users' unique facial features. Users can also create emoji of their friends via the same process.
Mirror's team of top AI engineers developed a large set of algorithms and techniques that capture and defines the physical qualities that make individual faces unique and compelling. The AI developed by Mirror recognizes then recreates human expression and facial features in a way that is significantly more advanced than any customized emoji product on the market today.
"An entire section of our brain is dedicated to human facial perception which is an incredibly hard problem for artificial intelligence approaches to solve and we are just starting to scratch the surface of the possibilities," added Mirror's CTO & Co-Founder, Evgeny Kuryshev. "We are fortunate to have some of the top engineers in this field, which allows us to relentlessly work to improve this technology. A decade from now, Mirror aims to deploy our technology and usage data for complex tasks from powering virtual reality characters to advertising personalized to viewers' faces."
