Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig), said on Monday it is backing off plans to bid for Colombia's third-biggest power generator, Isagen. The company said "it couldn't develop the financial structure that would make it competitive in the bidding process and achieve returns necessary for corporate approval". The other companies that are still interested in the Nation's stake in Isagen are: Duke Energy, China Haudian Corporation, Gas Natural, Generco and Empresa de Energía de Bogotá. Source: Bloomberg

The President of the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), Luis Fernando Andrade, said three projects of the first package of Fourth Generation (4G) concessions will be awarded in three weeks. The projects will add in total 445 km in the Caribbean, Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Eje Cafetero.
