Zynga Inc., (NASDAQ:ZNGA) trading at $3.62 gained $0.43 or 13.48% on a high volume of 60,307,406 shares, making it today's top percentage gainer on the NASDAQ.
Zynga shares rose as much as 15%, to $3.67 a share, the most in two weeks, on optimism that other U.S. states may follow Nevada in legalizing real-money gambling over the Internet. Before today, the stock had climbed 35 percent this year, compared with a 6.5 percent increase for the Russell 1000 Index.
Nevada legalized online gambling last week, creating a possible new revenue opportunity for Zynga, which has struggled to step up growth as gamers have shifted to mobile devices. Last year the company signed a partnership with Gibraltar-based Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment Plc to offer real-money gambling in the U.K.
China Mobile Games and Entertainment Group Limited (NASDAQ:CMGE) trading at $5.70 rose by $0.58 or 11.33% on a volume of 73,716 shares.
Cninsure Inc., (NASDAQ:CISG) trading at $6.34 gained $0.44 or 7.46% on a volume of 124,710 shares.
Old Second Bancorp Inc., (NASDAQ:OSBC) trading at $3.13 moved up $0.23 or 7.93% on a volume of 53,987 shares.
