(NASDAQ:AATI) shares gained 1.40 (32.37%) to finish at $5.74 on heavy volume of 10.73 million shares, compared to its average volume of 452K after Skyworks Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:SWKS) revised its bid to acquire the company in exchange of $5.80/share in cash. Shares of SWKS also climbed 11.16% to $16.13.
James River Coal Company (NASDAQ:JRCC) increased by 1.46 (21.38%) to close at $8.29 with the braider markets. James River Coal Company mines, processes and sells bituminous, steam- and industrial-grade coal through six operating subsidiaries (mining complexes) located throughout eastern Kentucky and in southern Indiana.
Hanwha Solarone Co Ltd (NASDAQ:HSOL) also jumped 0.25 (21.01%) to $1.44, recovering from its fall of over 12% during the past week. More than 1.3 million shares traded hands, compared to its average volume of 781K shares. Hanwha SolarOne Co., Ltd., formerly Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd., is a manufacturer of silicon ingots, photovoltaic (PV) cells and PV modules. It also provides PV cell processing services and PV module processing services.
