Pentair Migrates from Lotus Notes to Managed Microsoft Exchange and Blackberry Services
SEATTLE -- June 23 2009 -- Azaleos® Corporation, the managed messaging and unified communications services company, today announced that it was selected by Pentair, Inc. (NYSE: PNR), the world's leading manufacturer of systems for the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water, to manage its global e-mail and collaboration infrastructure. Azaleos will help Pentair migrate from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange 2007, and is providing remote management services for more than 8,000 users of its corporate e-mail system, SharePoint Server, Office Communications Server (OCS) and Blackberry devices.

Turn Key Management for Exchange, SharePoint, OCS and Blackberry
To offload its IT staff from the significant burden of managing an 8,000 user e-mail and unified communications system, Pentair has purchased the following four separate remote management services from Azaleos. These are delivered by experts in two Azaleos 24X7 network operations centers.
- Exchange Services: Using patented Azaleos ViewX and SecureX technologies, technicians monitor, manage, patch, troubleshoot and fix issues in Pentair's Exchange environment on a 24x7 basis. This includes managing the Pentair SAN devices, the Pentair Active Directory and backing up the Pentair e-mail system on a regular basis.
- SharePoint Services: The same patented Azaleos remote command and control software enables technicians to monitor, identify potential issues, manage, and report on the overall health of the Pentair SharePoint system.
- OCS Services: This new and evolving Azaleos managed service currently monitors the IM/Presence services of OCS for Pentair, and will be expanded to also handle monitoring and management of web conferencing and PC to PC audio and video conferencing.
- Mobile Services: A turnkey mobile device management and monitoring service for Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). Similar to the Exchange services, Azaleos technicians monitor, manage, patch, troubleshoot and fix issues in Pentair's BES environment on a 24x7 basis.
In addition, Azaleos has implemented the entire Pentair Exchange 2007 messaging system running on top of Windows 2008 Server utilizing the Azaleos OneServer Virtual Edition product. This virtual solution leverages Microsoft's Hyper-V Server to deliver high availability for Microsoft Exchange and allows Pentair to consolidate its server utilization and thereby reduce power consumption.
