China-based Sunpower hopes to raise S$25 million in IPO

SINGAPORE: March 8th, 2005 -- China-based Sunpower Group has launched its initial public offering. The company hopes to raise S$25 million from the share sale.

It is offering 113 million shares at 22 cents each, representing a historical price/earnings multiple of 24.18 times.

Of these, 49 million shares will be new shares issued, while the balance is vendor shares.
