Announces Year to Date Sears Water Franchise Sales and Revenues of C$765,000
CALGARY, ALBERTA, Jun 10, 2004 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- Watertowne
International Inc. ("Watertowne"; "the Company") announced today year to
date sales of 12 new Watertowne franchises licensed as Sears Premium Waters
for an aggregrate of C$765,000 in Company revenue. Added to those already
operating under the Watertowne banner, the total number of active Company
franchises is now 22.
As previously announced, the Company entered into an Agreement with Sears
Canada, Inc and Sears Roebuck, Inc. January 2004 to bottle and distribute a
proprietary brand of water for the home delivery market. Watertowne, granted
the use of the Sears Trademark, is, as of such date, the exclusive national
distributor of Sears Premium Waters, producing and selling in the 18.9-liter
(US 5 gallon) spring water and reverse-osmosis purified water category, via
its franchised distribution system.
Sears, Canada's largest retailer, offers goods and services to its customers
through its many mediums: general merchandise retail stores, specialty
stores, catalogues, selected direct marketing media, website and the Sears
HomeCentral Program, the division Sears Canada manages Sears Premium Waters.
