Effective
and timely communication of
terror threats and disaster information to general public becomes far more
efficient this week with the expansion of the AlertsUSA nationwide homeland
security alert service to include delivery of terrorism threat information
in both text and state-of-the-art wireless streaming audio. This service
expansion makes it possible to better manage personal risk by receiving
timely, comprehensive threat data on literally any type of wireless device,
including text pagers, PDA’s and cellular telephones.
Subscribers receive near-instant notification of
significant terror-related information issued by the Dept. of Homeland
Security, Dept. of Justice/FBI and a number of other related federal
agencies, as well as a variety of reliable non-governmental sources.
Additionally, supplemental information is also propagated which could result

The
AlertsUSA service initially notifies users via a simple SMS text message
prompting the user to listen a live or on-demand audio broadcast relating to

threat information is also provided.
