Ceremony Marks Homebuilder's 35th Year on the NYSE, Successful Completion of
Company's National Voter Registration Initiative

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Karatz rang the Closing Bell
today at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the homebuilder's 35th
anniversary trading on the big board. Coincidentally, Karatz rang the bell
on Election Day as a way to recognize KB Home's leadership for its national
voter registration efforts this year.
