CHINA'S HUAWEI WINS CDMA 2000 DEAL IN UKRAINE
BEIJING - Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei Technologies said it had
recently been awarded a CDMA 2000 network contract by ITC (International
Telecom Corporation), a major mobile telecoms carrier in the Ukraine. The
agreement will see Huawei construct an 800MHz CDMA 2000 network covering
Kiev and neighboring regions. The 2.5G network supports high-quality voice
service, high-speed data service and such value-added services as pre-pay,
wireless public phone and SMS.
