United Protection Services Inc. was formed in 1985 in Edmonton, Alberta in response to the need for an enhanced level of private security. Mr. Jorstad is the original founder and principal (1989) of United Protection Services Inc., and is also President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. In 1985 he formed the Security Officer Career College Inc. to provide entry level training to the security industry.
Prior to that, he was involved in the transportation industry on a national scale for 20 years. He is a past member of the Advisory Board of the Canadian Consultative Council on Multiculturalism, and the Deputy Prime Minister's Task Force on government programs review. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and a member of various industry-related committees and initiatives, including the American Society of Industrial Security and a variety of fraternal and community based organizations. He is the major shareholder in the corporation holding approximately 51% of the common stock.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ramsoondar has 15 years of experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He joined the Company as Vice President of Finance and Administration in 1999. Mr. Ramsoondar is a B.Comm and Certified General Accountant, Microsoft Certified Solutions Providers and Certified Network Administrator.
Mr. Allan is one of the most widely respected and experienced security managers in the industry in Canada. He has over 31 years experience in the security guard industry, having spent 29 of those years in Edmonton. He is the former Canadian president of Initial Security, having managed a national agency with over 4,500 employees and $130 million in annual revenues. He joined the corporation in May 2006.
