CHICAGO (February 2, 2005) - The two-thirds of Americans who are limiting their calorie and sugar intake may also be missing out on the health benefits of the vitamins and minerals in orange juice. Last year, Tropicana, Inc. was the first national brand to introduce a reduced calorie and sugar orange juice beverage for this group - Light 'n Healthy. Weight Watchers® has selected Tropicana® Light 'n Healthy as the first juice beverage to list its proprietary POINTS® values right on the packaging, so those counting calories can get excellent nutrition. An 8 oz. glass of Tropicana Light 'n Healthy tallies a POINTS value of just 1 on the Weight Watchers TurnAround program (versus 2 POINTS values for orange juice), provides a full day's amount of vitamin C, is a good source of potassium (13% DV)* and has 6-7% of the daily value of folate **, a nutrient important for women of child-bearing age.

To expand the options for those who want to reduce calories and prefer more texture, Tropicana launched a new variety of the Light 'n Healthy juice beverage line - Light 'n Healthy with Pulp.

"To many, having pulp in their orange juice is the hallmark of fresh-squeezed taste," said Debra DeMuth, Ph.D., R.D., Nutrition Fellow for Tropicana Products, Inc. "Approximately 40 percent of American adults prefer some pulp in their orange juice."
