These are the initial fundings allotted from the Government's £90m micro and nanotechnology production projects grants for both, Nanotechnology applied research programs and new nanotechnology installations throughout the country. Additional fundings will be distributed in the following five years to accomplish the project.

UK's bid to develop an industrial facility and technical proficiency in nanotechnology through the MNT Network, according to many, is considered to be the controlling factor in the coming generations of IT industry and medicine. The expenditure by US government on nanotechnology research has increased too. In 2006, the leading agency for Education and Training, National Science Foundation (NSF), is making plans to instate about US $ 28 million for educational programmes after graduation.

Global Funding for Nanotechnology assignments are supposed to provide direct access of their technology to different companies and scientists. Mergers and Acquisitions in Nanotechnology are forged with the intention to drive research and commercial use into the future whilst seeing to it that scientists aren't copying each other's creation.

As per the latest released report by R NCOS titled "The World Nanotechnology Market (2006)"; UK has established a sound reputation of sustaining the growth of its Nanotechnology industry.
