The InvestorIdeas.com® umbrella of industry specific portals was created
as a direct result of surviving one the biggest downturns in the market. The
market preceding and following 911 showed all of us first hand what can
happen in a falling market that is faced with the most unexpected financial
and emotionally destructive events of our time.
911 stopped all of us in our tracks. The financial market closed down and
the world as we knew it changed permanently.
In confronting the events, I changed the way I looked at the market and the
emotions and events that impact it. I developed a long term strategy that
incorporated a quasi quantum physics approach, in that "everything is
connected". I looked ten and twenty years ahead to determine what sectors
would be impacting the financial markets. The key is to not over-react or
under- react to specific events.
Homeland Security is here for our lifetime, most analysts agree. Homeland
Security has a direct tie to energy, which has a direct tie to renewable
energy, which is being impacted with advances in nanotechnology. All
industries converge or impact the others. The markets shift, and week by
week as we follow the news and the money, we can start to see the trends.
That in a nutshell is what we do at InvestorIdeas®. We follow the news; we
follow the money, in terms of government spending, budgets and where large
corporations are allocating R& D. We think long term as we watch the short
term spikes and falls.
What we know historically in the financial markets: fear kills the market

understand the underlying meaning of the data. As investors we need to
complete our own due diligence and research. The ultimate responsibility of
our financial destiny is our own.
